1. Create an account
Go to app.relayn.io and sign up with your email or directly with Discord. If you sign up with email, confirm it via the verification link we send you.
2. Connect your Discord server
After signing in, the setup wizard walks you through connecting a server:
- Invite the Relayn bot to your Discord server. You need the Manage Server permission on that server.
- Pick the server from the list — it becomes your workspace in the dashboard.
One workspace = one Discord server. You can connect multiple servers under the same account, each with its own knowledge base, team, and plan.
3. Add your first knowledge
Open Knowledge in the dashboard and add something the bot should know:
- Upload a file —
.md or .txt documents.
- Index a web page — a single URL.
- Crawl a documentation site — your whole docs site (GitBook and similar), indexed page by page.
Processing takes from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on size. Once the source shows Ready, the bot can answer from it. See Knowledge base for details.
4. Choose where the bot answers
Open Bot settings and select the channels the bot should watch. The bot only answers in channels you’ve selected — everything else is ignored.
While you’re there, set up trusted roles: members with these roles teach the bot when it can’t answer on its own. See Auto-learning.
5. Ask a question
Go to one of the selected channels in Discord and ask a question your knowledge covers. The bot detects it automatically — no need to mention or ping it — and replies with an answer plus links to the sources it used.
Every answer the bot delivers appears in the Replies feed in your dashboard.
New workspaces start on the Free plan with 100 credits per month. Each server is also offered a one-time 14-day Pro trial — see Promo codes & trial.
